Matagorda Fishing Report 2023
Matagorda Bay - Matagorda, TX
Been a little quiet lately but it’s not because I haven’t been fishing. I fished the Matagorda Slam tournament a few weeks back with Capt Tim Andel. The condition were crazy, sustained winds at 30 mph+. We weighed in 12.5 lbs but fell short to some good stringers. I have also been testing the new Laguna Custom Rods Trident rod built on an American blank. I was a little skeptical If this rod would hold up being how lightweight it is but man it is a work horse. It instantly became my new favorite rod throwing tails. If you haven’t tried a Laguna Custom Rod it is worth every penny! I have a few dates open coming up so call me to book your next outdoor adventure!
